“Dr. Paez believes in education and prevention and preaches this every single day to parents, patients, colleagues. She goes out of her way to ensure underserved populations hear her message too.”

 She educates expecting parents about the importance of vaccinations by reviewing the childhood immunization schedule both before and after the child is born. Dr. Paez was among the first Vaccines for Children providers to implement a COVID-19 program in her area during the pandemic and was able to quickly protect her community. Her educational initiatives, commitment to continuous process improvement, leadership within the hospital, and vigilance regarding her office’s immunization coverage rates have resulted in infant and adolescent immunization coverage rates of 90% or higher, exceeding state, national, and Healthy People 2030 goals.
